My interest in photography began as a flight attendant, taking photos of all the exotic destinations I was flying to on layover. My passion for photography grew as I challenged myself to take photos like the pros. As my thirst for knowledge grew, I decided to attend the Colorado Institute of Art 1985 – 1987.
Upon completion of school I accepted a full time position in Los Angeles to gain some professional experience as an assistant photographer. For the next five years I worked with product, fashion, car, architectural and CD cover photographers advertising on a national basis. I worked on assignments that included of celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Will Smith, Ice Cube and Warrant. The invaluable experience of working with these true professionals helped in the understanding of how to control light on location and in the studio.
